The food was good, one downside is that I ordered a medium steak and it came out well cooked... the appetisers here were really good though

Eating at the "il Focolare" restaurant was a pleasant experience.
The place is immersed in the rolling hills of Collecorvino with a beautiful, delightfully maintained garden in front of the farmhouse (having come in the evening, we were unable to visit it) which hosts tables on sunny summer days; the atmosphere inside is also nice, an interesting combination of modern tables and chairs in a traditional environment furnished with antiques such as the typewriter on the cash register, excellent for organizing parties and receptions.
The waiter who served us at the table was very efficient and pleasant,👌.
The food they serve is good, excellent value for money and the plating of the dishes: being in such a place we certainly couldn't skip the starters: the 2 platters were delicious (one of cheeses and the other, served in a spectacular way, of cured meats), Cacio e Ovo pallotte with lamb chops, 4 fragrant stuffed bruschettas (tomato, sausage, ham and egg) together with several other small plates whose names, unfortunately, I don't remember.
This time I wanted to eat something classic, so I had a Chitarrina alla Teramana, I liked the pasta but I think that the simple sauce with which the dish was seasoned did not make it special, so in summary the dish was good but... nothing special; I also appreciated the Borage Strettine with Courgettes, a dish that won me over.
However, I would have to object to the heart of cod in Jerusalem artichoke cream because the dish was fresh but the fish had not been completely cleaned of the bones, which was a shame.....
Grilled lamb with french fries top marks!
Coming to the desserts, I took a deconstructed Tiramisu produced by them: I must admit that at the beginning I was rather skeptical about the result (I have always been a great lover of traditional Tiramisu) but, upon tasting it, I changed my mind because the mascarpone combined with the coffee (which they pay you directly
among other things), with thick ladyfingers, it creates a delicious flavor in your mouth that will make you adore it.
Also noteworthy is the pistachio semifreddo and strawberry and Chantilly puff pastry.
Small note: since we had expressed so much appreciation for the good bread and the fragrant focaccias in the basket that they brought to the table, they had no problem giving us a free bag, yum!!!
